Planning the Student Lifecycle

Providing tailored and timely services across the entire student lifecycle, from prospective applicant through to alumnus, is increasingly key to optimising affinity and delivering value, both for the student and the institution.

In order to achieve the most benefit from this approach, known also as strategic enrolment management, an institution needs to be certain that its processes are sufficiently customer-focused, that the opportunities presented by technology for innovation and interaction are capitalised upon.

SUMS works with its members to undertake reviews of existing approaches to lifecycle planning, and will:

  • Explore the fit between current service delivery and institutional strategy
  • Evaluate current processes, policies, systems and operational performance
  • Identify opportunities for change and enhancement.

with a view to ensuring that service delivery meets both institutional and customer needs, both now and looking ahead to the future.
