Our Work
SUMS Consulting works across all areas of university administration and business processes. We have worked extensively in, for example, Student Services, Registry, Research and Enterprise Development, Information Services and IT, Learning Support, Human Resources, Finance and Accommodation Services. Assignment summaries are produced for each piece of work undertaken; the past five years' summaries are available on this site. To access these summaries please use the search function (found at the top right hand corner of the page). You may search by university area, topic of interest or by title of work, if known. Our Annual Reports also contain brief descriptions of each individual and collaborative study undertaken by SUMS Consulting during that year.
We undertake individual and collaborative assignments for our Members as a membership benefit; the approach to each Member's assignment is unique and individually tailored to their culture and needs. There is no specific upper or lower limit to the time committed for any Member, but we expect to deliver an equality of treatment to Members and to help us manage this we maintain a rolling work programme. The cost of this work is covered by the membership subscription. Additional work, over and above the agreed work programme, can be undertaken for Members at attractive fee rates; subject to our work programme committments.
SUMS Consulting also undertakes occasional work for non-member universities at attractive fee rates; subject to our work programme for Members which always takes priority.
Members are asked to channel their requests for assignments through their nominated Member Representative to their Key Contact within SUMS Consulting.
